Armonte' Escort

Monty is a 2008 True Black Thoroughbred gelding that carries both the sabino and rabicano genes making him a very flashy looking horse. He is an own son of our beloved Armed Escort and was bred and born on our farm. We sold Monty as a 8 month old and he then returned to us the summer of his two year old year.

 Monty was a very large foal and was out of a 16.2+ hand Thoroughbred mare, "Carrie J" who was also Oldenburg Approved and produced some spectacular foals. Carrie J was a "crop-out" meaning that she had excessive white markings that would have made her eligible for both Paint and Pinto registration but due to her age and many previous owners over the years, registry in those associations did not happen before she passed away at the age of 24.

 When Monty returned to us as a two year old his condition was less than ideal. He was a colt that should have been around 16+ hands as a two year old but instead he stood just over 14.2 hands. In the time he has been back with us he has had food in front of him 24/7 and is now at and ideal weight. Not only has he rebounded in his weight but he is catching up in his height as well! As of Mid-November he stands at just over 15.2 at the hip and is still rapidly growing.

Because of this set back in his condition, we did not get a chance to take nice current photos of Monty, however we do have his weanling photos and some pasture condition pictures to show you the quality that he is. His conformation is second to none and his movement is beyond superb!

Monty is currently being started under saddle and is being offered for sale to an approved home as we do not want him to be underfed again.
